Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Silicon Valley
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks unite communities behind the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives from breast cancer. Here’s what you can expect:
Check-in Opens at 7:30am
Sign up online for easy check-in the day of the walk. All event participants, including children, need to register for the walk. If you do not register online prior to the event, please visit the check-in area upon arrival.
Opening Ceremony Begins at 8:30am
Come together with survivors, caregivers, men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer. Celebrate your shared efforts. Inspire each other to carry on. And take comfort in the knowledge that because of your dedication, no one walks alone.
Wave Start Begins at 9:00am
We all walk together, but our event is not a race. Stop whenever you want or need to. You absolutely do not need to complete the entire walk if you are unable. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line. See start waves below:
- 9:00 am: Teams and individual walkers who have raised $2,500 or more
- 9:20 am: All sponsor teams, led by Varian
- 9:40 am: Teams and individual walkers who have raised $1,000 or more
- 10:00 am: All remaining teams and walkers are invited to begin the walk
- 10:15 am: All walkers must be out on the trail by this time
